A few months ago, illustrator Jessie Lipscomb, owner of Momma Lips Draws, reached out to me and asked to do a collaboration. I've experienced her work firsthand, as I've commissioned an illustration from her previously, so it was an absolute yes from me. After learning more about each other, we found that we have something in common. We both love children who have autism. ♥

Lego Theme

Lego embeds

We chose the Lego theme for one simple reason - our kids love Lego. My son, Russell, has an Instagram page @russellbuildsitall, dedicated to his creations. I believe Lego has given him the ability to connect with the world and express his creativity. Since Russell took the lead with our soap design, it was only right that the rest of the products followed the same look.

Lego Labels

Jessie did an awesome job creating a cohesive label design for each product in the box - soap, lotion bar, body cream (lotion), and bath bomb. She also took the time to create an informational card that includes resources for further support for autism awareness and acceptance. Her illustration skills really shined on this project.

Lego Inspired Products

The soap bar was actually a collaboration with both of my sons. Russell was in charge of the design and assisting in creating the cold process soap bar, but my youngest son, Khari, helped with the melt and pour embeds. It was truly a family affair. Russell decided that all the products should smell just like his favorite scent - citrus. We used the Yuzu fragrance by Brambleberry, which gives us a bright, clean sparkling citrus scent. Perfect for the spring/summer.

Mamas create with love

Our goal in creating this Autism Awareness Bundle was not only to remind yourselves to take a moment and practice self care, but to also be open to educating yourself about autism awareness and acceptance. It also serves as a means to continue care for our loved ones. We've made a limited quantity of these boxes and they are already going fast! Grab yours and let us know what you think. Bonus points for an unboxing video!
